The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 5 minutes into the match, Navlestreng's Oddbjørn Nyvold sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kenneth Larssen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jonas Kjeilen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 11th match minute, Navlestreng was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulrik Iversen to maneuver through the defense. Morten Sivertsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Navlestreng's Andreas Kolstad got control of the ball when Filip Vanvik tried to sneak it across the goal line. Oddbjørn Nyvold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenneth Larssen having to interfere. After 25 played minutes, Navlestreng's Johannes Ervik shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kenneth Larssen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Navlestreng reached it. Navlestreng's Andreas Kolstad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Kjeilen in the 30th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Jonas Kjeilen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Andreas Kolstad. That made the score 1-0 in the 32 minute of play. Filip Vanvik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andreas Kolstad having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Morten Sivertsen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kenneth Larssen. Røde Horn Fotball Kluben's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Morten Sivertsen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. If Are Hartvigsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jonas Kjeilen was the one to do the kick off. Kenneth Larssen was a little too slow when Morten Sivertsen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 1-2. Filip Vanvik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andreas Kolstad having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Audun Einarsen during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kenneth Larssen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Morten Sivertsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Morten Sivertsen came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Navlestreng fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Morten Sivertsen couldn't finish the play. After having played for 73 minutes, Oddbjørn Nyvold managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Navlestreng's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oddbjørn Nyvold was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonas Kjeilen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andreas Kolstad having to interfere. In the 80th match minute, Navlestreng was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Audun Einarsen to maneuver through the defense. William Minge's late challenge caught a Navlestreng's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. William Minge helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th match minute, Røde Horn Fotball Kluben was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Minge to maneuver through the defense. Filip Vanvik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Andreas Kolstad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andreas Kolstad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Kjeilen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Navlestreng's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
