The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Magne Heggheim during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Solejem IF booed when Oni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magne Heggheim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bent Hermansen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kjetil-André Roe, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Patrik Nesland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute Emanuel Anwar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Asbjørn Vogt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Kjetil-André Roe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oni's supporters rose to their feet, but Kjetil-André Roe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bent Hermansen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oni's supporters crossed their fingers, but Magne Heggheim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 57 minutes into the match, Oni's Kjetil-André Roe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bent Hermansen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 59th minute by Kjetil-André Roe got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in Solejem IF's zone, Magne Heggheim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bent Hermansen came out of the goal and Magne Heggheim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Oni booed when Solejem IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petter Barka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel Anwar scored 1-3 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Asbjørn Vogt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Magne Heggheim's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bent Hermansen was relentless in the 81st minute of the game.
