Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Tromsø IL's Kyrre Krogsrud started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Erik Bergem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erik Bergem might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kristian Borg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erik Bergem ran back to his position shaking his head. Kristian Borg was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Thomas Krasniqi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 17 minute of play. In the 19th match minute, Rolset was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Åge Backe to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the game, Tromsø IL's Kyrre Krogsrud nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kent-Are Sleire made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Kent-Are Sleire took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kyrre Krogsrud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thomas Krasniqi in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kristian Borg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thomas Krasniqi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Kristian Borg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kyrre Krogsrud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kent-Are Sleire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philip Romundstad, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Philip Romundstad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rolset! In the 49th minute there was a penalty for Tromsø IL. Oscar Giæver stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kent-Are Sleire. 2-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erik Bergem stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Odd Weum ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kent-Are Sleire was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. In the 63rd minute, Håkon Aanestad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 64 minutes into the match, Tromsø IL's Oscar Giæver broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Gustav Nybø's late challenge caught a Rolset's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustav Nybø helped the player get up and apologised. Philip Romundstad was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 68th minute. Tromsø IL's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Kyrre Krogsrud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kent-Are Sleire having to interfere. Kristian Borg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Bergem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute, Kyrre Krogsrud got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 86 minutes, Åge Backe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rolset's supporters crossed their fingers, but Åge Backe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Philip Romundstad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kent-Are Sleire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyrre Krogsrud, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. When Kyrre Krogsrud fell near the penalty area in the 101st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tromsø IL's protests and gave Kyrre Krogsrud a yellow card for diving instead. After 101 played minutes Tromsø IL got a freekick which was hit by Kyrre Krogsrud.
