Severin Hatlevik was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kristian Borg was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dan Roland showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 10 minute of play. Kristian Borg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Roland in the 13th minute of the match. The supporters of Melsvik booed when Tromsø IL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustav Nybø didn't get a good kick on the ball. Konrad Kjelstad's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Kristian Borg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Severin Hatlevik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Philip Romundstad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kristian Borg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig Nerdal, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. If Dan Roland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dan Roland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristian Borg having to interfere. In the 45th minute Dan Roland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristian Borg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 48 minutes into the game, Konrad Kjelstad cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Kristian Borg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kyrre Krogsrud stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Severin Hatlevik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kyrre Krogsrud in the 54th minute of play. A collision led to Tromsø IL getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Oscar Giæver hit a great ball. Dan Roland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the game, Kyrre Krogsrud recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Severin Hatlevik. Kyrre Krogsrud showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Kristian Borg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dan Roland's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Tromsø IL's Kyrre Krogsrud sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Severin Hatlevik narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Melsvik's Severin Hatlevik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyrre Krogsrud in the 83rd minute of play. When Thorbjørn Christoffersen fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Melsvik's protests and gave Thorbjørn Christoffersen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th minute, Thorbjørn Christoffersen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erik Sørbø kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. In the 97th minute Dan Roland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristian Borg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
