The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Rønnerud BF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of CSKA Dynamo:s goal. Rønnerud BF:s Konrad Opdal showed great skill when he stopped Abraham Evensen:s penalty. If Thomas Valberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan-Ivar Oshaug showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carl-Rune Farah, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. A collision led to CSKA Dynamo getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Preben Bjørnsen hit a great ball. After having played for 27 minutes, Carl-Rune Farah managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rønnerud BF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carl-Rune Farah was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carl-Rune Farah struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Jan-Ivar Oshaug didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rønnerud BF. Preben Bjørnsen charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Preben Bjørnsen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 34th match minute, CSKA Dynamo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Preben Bjørnsen to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Konrad Opdal managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when CSKA Dynamo's Thomas Valberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 40th minute, Thomas Valberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The long shot by Petter Aarhus in the 46th minute really tested Konrad Opdal's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Preben Havn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Jan-Ivar Oshaug made a huge save. Henrik Bjerkli's late challenge caught a CSKA Dynamo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henrik Bjerkli helped the player get up and apologised. Henrik Bjerkli hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Gaute Torvund kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Rønnerud BF's Konrad Opdal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Valberg in the 65th minute of play. Gjøran Aure's late challenge caught a Rønnerud BF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gjøran Aure helped the player get up and apologised. Gjøran Aure hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Preben Bjørnsen hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Carl-Rune Farah scored 0-2 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan-Ivar Oshaug, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carl-Rune Farah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Jan-Ivar Oshaug tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute Thomas Valberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konrad Opdal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan-Ivar Oshaug made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Carl-Rune Farah sent off a good shot on target. When the match was over Rønnerud BF could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than CSKA Dynamo throughout the match.
