Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ole-Einar Værnes got the match started through his kick off. If Wilhelm Synnes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bjarne Løvberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Nesland having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Bjarne Løvberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alex Nesland was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Bjarne Løvberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alex Nesland came out and tried to block the shot, but Bjarne Løvberg slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 13th minute. Hammeren's Wilhelm Synnes got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hammeren's Audun Knutsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gjermund Green in the 30th minute of play. Ole-Einar Værnes scored 3-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Audun Knutsen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 36 played minutes Austerheim got a freekick which was hit by Jan Grøndahl. Hammeren's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bjørn Rian in the 39th minute. Bjørn Rian made a great header on Hammeren's corner, it was just that Austerheim's Alex Nesland managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 47th minute, Gjermund Green got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.
In the 52nd match minute, Hammeren was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johannes Steffensen to maneuver through the defense. Wilhelm Synnes kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After 62 minutes, Jan Grøndahl mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Austerheim and the Hammeren players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Hammeren booed when Austerheim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Grøndahl didn't get a good kick on the ball. Audun Knutsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ole-Einar Værnes in the 67th minute of play. After having played for 88 minutes, Bjarne Løvberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hammeren's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bjarne Løvberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anders Ulvik's late challenge caught a Hammeren's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anders Ulvik helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Austerheim's Anders Ulvik got a free kick in the 89th minute. Ole-Einar Værnes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Audun Knutsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Austerheim's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
