Olsborg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Max Einan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christian Høyland struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Espen Øen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fonnes. Olsborg's Espen Øen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Olsborg from getting a goal against them. In the 74th minute Max Einan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peder Sandland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christian Høyland in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Espen Øen saved Olsborg from getting behind. When Fonnes's Karl Nordahl in 79 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Espen Øen guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. When Karl Nordahl came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Fonnes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl Nordahl couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Fonnes's Christian Høyland got a free kick in the 82nd minute. The supporters of Fonnes booed when Olsborg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frode Vika didn't get a good kick on the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl Nordahl couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Olsborg had won after a very even match.
