If Sven Midtbø had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Junkerdalen BK's Snorre Lid got a free kick in the 10th minute. The supporters of SK Brann Bergen booed when Junkerdalen BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harald Schrøder didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimmy Hallan in the 17th minute of play forced Junkerdalen BK's goalkeeper Joachim Østgård to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sigve Østerud blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erlend Stenerud having to make a save. With a little luck, Junkerdalen BK's Joachim Østgård got control of the ball when Sven Midtbø tried to sneak it across the goal line. The wind increased when Sigve Østerud made the kick off in the second half. Joachim Østgård made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven Midtbø in the 53rd minute of play. SK Brann Bergen were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Junkerdalen BK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Henrik Yndestad took the corner. SK Brann Bergen's Henrik Yndestad was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Joachim Østgård in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Snorre Lid kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Erlend Stenerud showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sigve Østerud, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute.
