Morten Richardsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathias Landrø having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Tunhovd's Jostein Oppedal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mathias Landrø narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tor-Andre Nøttveit could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Andreas Nydal made a huge save. If Stian Ødegaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Gaaserud IF booed when Tunhovd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Kenneth Sølvberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Tor-Andre Nøttveit recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 60th minute Jostein Oppedal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathias Landrø saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
