Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Verner Ulvund took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Mestad BF's zone, Erik Thorsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven Tharaldsen came out of the goal and Erik Thorsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 4th minute Erik Thorsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven Tharaldsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Verner Ulvund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Mehl having to interfere. The supporters of Latnæringen FF booed when Mestad BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrik Lilleland didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Latnæringen FF's goalkeeper Daniel Mehl, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Latnæringen FF getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. John-Edvin Skjærstad hit a great ball. Mestad BF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Isak Holthe in the 37th minute. Daniel Mehl stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cent Soltveit's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Mestad BF's Verner Ulvund got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Mehl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cent Soltveit in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 51 minutes of play, Latnæringen FF's Erik Thorsen made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sven Tharaldsen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mestad BF's Sven Tharaldsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Thorsen in the 55th minute of play. Inge Benjaminsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Sven Tharaldsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erik Thorsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven Tharaldsen having to interfere. Anton Hebnes hit a great ball. Inge Benjaminsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inge Benjaminsen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sven Tharaldsen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th minute Inge Benjaminsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven Tharaldsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sven Tharaldsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inge Benjaminsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 82 minutes into the game, Inge Benjaminsen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Sven Tharaldsen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Daniel Mehl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias Aasbø, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. If Erik Thorsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erik Thorsen in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sven Tharaldsen saved Mestad BF from getting behind. Latnæringen FF's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
