Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Jon-Arne Heggen charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jon-Arne Heggen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Thomas Førsund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thomas Førsund kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After having played for 16 minutes, Thomas Førsund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mjøs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomas Førsund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Johannes Karlsen kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Morten Horne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Landsem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sigurd Bjørlo in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Morten Horne prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 24th match minute, Mjøs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Markus Einan to maneuver through the defense. Sigurd Bjørlo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mjøs's Morten Horne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Nydal in the 31st minute of play. Ole-Gunnar Nysæter scored 1-0 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Svend Haugvaldstad, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thomas Førsund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Svend Haugvaldstad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Mjøs's Thomas Førsund slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Svend Haugvaldstad. That made the score 2-0 after 43 minutes of play.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sigurd Bjørlo made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Mastad IF's Thomas Landsem sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Morten Horne narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Svend Haugvaldstad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ole-Gunnar Nysæter in the 53rd minute of the match. Morten Horne made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thomas Landsem in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Førsund in the 64th minute of play forced Mastad IF's goalkeeper Svend Haugvaldstad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Mastad IF's Johannes Karlsen got a free kick in the 80th minute. When Ole-Gunnar Nysæter came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Mjøs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ole-Gunnar Nysæter couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bjørnar Bjørkli during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Mjøs booed when Mastad IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven Georgsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Mjøs had won after a very even match.
