After a defensive mix-up in Kolavåg FF's zone, Jesper Owren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tore-Andre Melsom came out of the goal and Jesper Owren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tore-Andre Melsom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeppe Lauritsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Aarstein getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Christian Lauritzen hit a great ball. After 12 played minutes, Kolavåg FF's Thorbjørn Gjesdal shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Håkon Ekren came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kolavåg FF reached it. Stefan Kvande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute, Jeppe Lauritsen made a precise shot to the right of Tore-Andre Melsom. Kolavåg FF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The supporters of Aarstein booed when Kolavåg FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remi Risberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kolavåg FF's Tore-Andre Melsom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesper Owren in the 26th minute of play. Didrik Gustavson kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th minute Jesper Owren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tore-Andre Melsom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 31 minutes, Håkon Ekren successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a little luck, Aarstein's Håkon Ekren got control of the ball when Stefan Kvande tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joar Ugland stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kolavåg FF's Joar Ugland got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Joar Ugland's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Håkon Ekren was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. After 61 played minutes Kolavåg FF got a freekick which was hit by Joar Ugland. After 63 played minutes, Aarstein's Sigurd Djønne shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tore-Andre Melsom came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Aarstein reached it. Kolavåg FF's Tore-Andre Melsom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeppe Lauritsen in the 65th minute of play. If Jesper Owren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erik Bremseth kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 76th minute, when Aarstein's Espen Wiik after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Tore-Andre Melsom in Kolavåg FF's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Sebastian Honningsvåg kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Jeppe Lauritsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Håkon Ekren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joar Ugland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jesper Owren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Tore-Andre Melsom made a huge save. After 88 played minutes Kolavåg FF got a freekick which was hit by Didrik Gustavson. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Jeppe Lauritsen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aarstein's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeppe Lauritsen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tore-Andre Melsom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Aarstein's Jeppe Lauritsen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tore-Andre Melsom. That made the score 0-3 after 92 minutes of play. The Aarstein supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Aarstein would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
