Viking FK's Stein-Roger Silden proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Viking FK from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Viking FK defense, Runar Myhrvold kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stein-Roger Silden. The Viking FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stein-Roger Silden should have stopped the shot. In the 18th minute Mons Tjelta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stein-Roger Silden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute of the match Totti FC got a corner. Viking FK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Benjamin Jonsson ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Totti FC's corner Benjamin Jonsson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Stein-Roger Silden quite easily take care of the ball. Stein-Roger Silden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Runar Myhrvold, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute Totti FC were awarded a corner. Benjamin Jonsson went to the cornerflag to take it. 26 minutes in the game, Mons Tjelta fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Stein-Roger Silden having to interfere. In the 28th match minute, Totti FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tim Feragen to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute Runar Myhrvold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stein-Roger Silden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Arne Sannerud sped through Totti FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jan-Ivar Rekkedal. Mons Tjelta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 35th play minutes Runar Myhrvold shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Stein-Roger Silden and just under the crossbar into goal. Totti FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Benjamin Jonsson in the 43rd minute. Benjamin Jonsson made a great header on Totti FC's corner, it was just that Viking FK's Stein-Roger Silden managed to reach the ball for a save. Per Flatmo kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. A well-hit corner resulted in Eilif Westlie heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Runar Myhrvold stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ask Tønsberg succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 65th playminute. Stein-Roger Silden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Didrik Raaen in the 74th minute of the match. Ask Tønsberg came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jan-Ivar Rekkedal could save by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Per Flatmo during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jan-Ivar Rekkedal was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ask Tønsberg. A hard shot 83 in the game by Arne Sannerud from a close distance when the talented Jan-Ivar Rekkedal managed to make a qualified save. Totti FC's players were relieved. Runar Myhrvold kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 86th minute Viking FK were awarded a corner. Ask Tønsberg went to the cornerflag to take it. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 92nd minute of the game. One of Totti FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Viking FK:s goal. Ask Tønsberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 99th minute of the match, but Jan-Ivar Rekkedal made a huge save. The Totti FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Viking FK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
