Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) David Schoonbeek made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Arie de Swart sent off a good shot on target. 8 minutes into the match, Sun Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Johan Veldkamp came free, but David Schoonbeek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th match minute, Statenboom S.V. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andy Harmannus to maneuver through the defense. Sun Boys's David Schoonbeek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Sun Boys from getting a goal against them. David Schoonbeek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arie de Swart in the 17th minute. Jan Bosma charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jan Bosma the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jan Bosma hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Johan Veldkamp notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Sun Boys's David Schoonbeek. David Schoonbeek was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. David Schoonbeek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johan Veldkamp in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sun Boys's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jean-Paul Wegman was slow to take the kick. During this time Statenboom S.V.'s players had a chance to rest. Jelle Talsma was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 33 minutes into the match. The referee gave Sun Boys a penalty, 36 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jan Hebels, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Statenboom S.V.'s Serge Mol. 1-1. In the 41st minute, Harry Veenhuis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sun Boys fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. David Schoonbeek was a little too slow when Ruud van Rhijn got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jan Hebels made a kick off. Andre Westerink sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Sun Boys booed when Statenboom S.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Govert Aalders didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 60 minutes, Ruud van Rhijn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Statenboom S.V.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruud van Rhijn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Kristof Janus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sun Boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Kristof Janus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serge Mol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 63 minutes into the match, Statenboom S.V.'s goalkeeper Serge Mol had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan Hebels. Serge Mol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristof Janus in the 69th minute of the match. Jan Hebels fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serge Mol having to interfere. Kristof Janus blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Serge Mol having to make a save. Jan Bosma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Serge Mol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Hebels in the 78th minute of play forced Statenboom S.V.'s goalkeeper Serge Mol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andre Westerink fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serge Mol having to interfere. Serge Mol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jan Bosma in the 83rd minute. Lucien Platvoet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Serge Mol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 95 minutes, Andre Westerink managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sun Boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andre Westerink was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 96th minute, Jan Bosma got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sun Boys played a much better game than Statenboom S.V. and deserved their victory. The Statenboom S.V. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
