Olof Niekamp didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute of the match Jan-Willem Geitz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kristian Haas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Henk van de Meerakker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Werner Bruinsma having to interfere. After having played for 31 minutes, Bennie Aalst managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stompwijk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bennie Aalst was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Limburgse Jagers's Werner Bruinsma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bennie Aalst in the 33rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Bennie Aalst managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stompwijk's supporters rose to their feet, but Bennie Aalst was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Stompwijk! Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bennie Aalst made a kick off. Sjaak Thomasse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Bennie Aalst came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Stompwijk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bennie Aalst couldn't finish the play. Limburgse Jagers's supporters rose to their feet, but Sjaak Thomasse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The Limburgse Jagers supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Stompwijk's performance. The match ended with a win for Stompwijk.
