In the 13th match minute, FC Bloed Aan De Paal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilbert Reintjes to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the match, FC Bloed Aan De Paal's goal looked a bit too open when Harm Huisingh came free, but Vincent Huizen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vincent Huizen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martien de Vries in the 20th minute of play. If Harm Huisingh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Demy Zwaanswijk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Bruno Euving tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Harm Huisingh notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Bloed Aan De Paal's Vincent Huizen. Vincent Huizen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vincent Huizen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martien de Vries, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Martien de Vries fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincent Huizen having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Gerard Baatenburg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martien de Vries blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vincent Huizen having to make a save. In the 47th match minute, Rheeze FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefano Roeters to maneuver through the defense. 50 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rheeze FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Dorenbosch was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Bloed Aan De Paal's players had a chance to rest. The corner led FC Bloed Aan De Paal's Daniel Dorenbosch to fire away a dangerous shot which Bruno Euving despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Martien de Vries made a kick off. Demy Zwaanswijk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute Martien de Vries shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincent Huizen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Harm Huisingh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 68 played minutes FC Bloed Aan De Paal got a freekick which was hit by Marco Schouten. 72 minutes into the game, Rheeze FC's Harm Huisingh nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vincent Huizen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 76th minute, Harm Huisingh made a precise shot to the right of Vincent Huizen. FC Bloed Aan De Paal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roel Walregt during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Rheeze FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Roel Walregt hit a great ball. Ruben Gerrits might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bruno Euving. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ruben Gerrits ran back to his position shaking his head. After 82 minutes, Gerard Baatenburg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rheeze FC and the FC Bloed Aan De Paal players grew even worse after the yellow card. FC Bloed Aan De Paal's Vincent Huizen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save FC Bloed Aan De Paal from getting a goal against them. If Martien de Vries had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 95th minute, FC Bloed Aan De Paal's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Harm Huisingh fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to FC Bloed Aan De Paal getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Donny Reintjes hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rheeze FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
