Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Klaas Hegeman started the match with the kick off. If Roelof Eringa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Heesbeen's Wilco Bosz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bram Wessel in the 5th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Bram Wessel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Swichum Excelsior fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, Heesbeen's goal looked a bit too open when Bram Wessel came free, but Wilco Bosz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bram Wessel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Dost hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Roelof Eringa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Hendrik Meder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Klaas Hegeman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Klaas Hegeman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Heesbeen's supporters rose to their feet, but Klaas Hegeman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hendrik Meder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Swichum Excelsior booed when Heesbeen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Janssen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bram Wessel scored 0-2 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilco Bosz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hendrik Meder made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Roelof Eringa sent off a good shot on target. After 44 played minutes Swichum Excelsior got a freekick which was hit by Jan Waidijk. After the first half Swichum Excelsior were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Folker Cramer to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Heesbeen's goal looked a bit too open when Bram Wessel came free, but Wilco Bosz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Folker Cramer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hendrik Meder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klaas Hegeman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Klaas Hegeman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hendrik Meder was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. In the 67th minute, Henk-Jan Toolenaar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Swichum Excelsior getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Timo Pals hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the match, Swichum Excelsior's goal looked a bit too open when Klaas Hegeman came free, but Hendrik Meder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilco Bosz made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Bram Wessel sent off a good shot on target. 82 minutes into the match, Bram Wessel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilco Bosz. Heesbeen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bram Wessel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Folker Cramer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilco Bosz having to interfere.
