After 23 minutes, Koos Paas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lauradorp and the Honselerdijk Eendracht players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Honselerdijk Eendracht booed when Lauradorp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Koos Paas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Koos Paas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Koos Paas was shown his second yellow card after 45 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 46th match minute, Lauradorp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Koos Paas to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vincent van Rhijn to make the kick off. Vincent van Rhijn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Severijnse having to interfere. In the 67th minute Evert Bok shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Severijnse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Evert Bok had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Honselerdijk Eendracht booed when Lauradorp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernard van Driest didn't get a good kick on the ball. Humberto Severijnse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evert Bok, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Geert Arend Ruben kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Humberto Severijnse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincent van Rhijn in the 91st minute of play. After 96 played minutes Lauradorp got a freekick which was hit by Pepijn Eulen. Honselerdijk Eendracht were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
