Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Serge Donderwinkel got the match started through his kick off. If Erwin Brouwer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of West Thrace FC booed when Boevenheuvel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serge Donderwinkel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Boevenheuvel defense, Edgard Kooij kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dirk Haremeijer. The Boevenheuvel fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dirk Haremeijer should have stopped the shot. Edgard Kooij recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 20 minutes into the game, Edgard Kooij cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Dirk Haremeijer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lucas Vonk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hubert de Swart in the 25th minute. Lucas Vonk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serge Donderwinkel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Edgard Kooij came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the West Thrace FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgard Kooij couldn't finish the play. Erwin Brouwer struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Dirk Haremeijer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for West Thrace FC. Edgard Kooij received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Dirk Haremeijer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Boevenheuvel's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Kooij came free, but Dirk Haremeijer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucas Vonk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serge Donderwinkel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erwin Brouwer might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dirk Haremeijer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erwin Brouwer ran back to his position shaking his head. Dirk Haremeijer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edgard Kooij's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. West Thrace FC were furious when Dirk-Jan Walregt was red carded, 47 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee gave Boevenheuvel a penalty, 49 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Roeland Zandstra, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of West Thrace FC's Lucas Vonk. 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Erwin Brouwer to strike the kick off in the second half. Erwin Brouwer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Dirk Haremeijer made a huge save. If Erwin Brouwer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as West Thrace FC's Demy Thole slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dirk Haremeijer. That made the score 1-3 after 58 minutes of play. Dirk Haremeijer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Demy Thole in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute, Serge Donderwinkel made a precise shot to the right of Lucas Vonk. West Thrace FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Dirk Haremeijer made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Demy Thole sent off a good shot on target. 70 minutes into the match, West Thrace FC's Erwin Brouwer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dirk Haremeijer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the West Thrace FC defense, Sjef Bessing kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucas Vonk. The West Thrace FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucas Vonk should have stopped the shot. Dirk Haremeijer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Demy Thole in the 75th minute. In the 80th minute, Erwin Brouwer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dirk Haremeijer was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-4. Erwin Brouwer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Demy Thole had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. West Thrace FC's Erwin Brouwer got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dirk Haremeijer made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Erwin Brouwer sent off a good shot on target. West Thrace FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
