Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Oliver Zuurman took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliver Zuurman in the 3rd minute of play forced Uiteinde's goalkeeper Folkert Ranzijn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gido Dirks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter van Schaik having to interfere. Herbert van Gaal might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Peter van Schaik. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Herbert van Gaal ran back to his position shaking his head. After 11 played minutes Hans Hertog rounded Maasbommel HC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Peter van Schaik made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Herbert van Gaal sent off a good shot on target. Roel Veentjer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folkert Ranzijn having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Pieter van der Woude hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute Hans Hertog shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter van Schaik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herbert van Gaal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Peter van Schaik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Uiteinde's Hans Hertog managed to work through Maasbommel HC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Hans Hertog dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hans Hertog in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peter van Schaik prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Uiteinde's Ronald Mol got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 43rd minute Maasbommel HC were awarded a corner. Wim Schaars went to the cornerflag to take it. Herbert van Gaal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Peter van Schaik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hans Hertog was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Gido Dirks had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. A collision led to Maasbommel HC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Harris Middel hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the match, Uiteinde's Herbert van Gaal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peter van Schaik narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Herbert van Gaal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uiteinde's supporters rose to their feet, but Herbert van Gaal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peter van Schaik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Herbert van Gaal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Peter van Schaik was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Folkert Ranzijn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver Zuurman, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Oliver Zuurman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folkert Ranzijn having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Oliver Zuurman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maasbommel HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Oliver Zuurman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Folkert Ranzijn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Harris Middel kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Folkert Ranzijn made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Roel Veentjer sent off a good shot on target. Maasbommel HC's Peter van Schaik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herbert van Gaal in the 94th minute of play. When Uiteinde's Hans Hertog in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Maasbommel HC's goalie prevented a goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Maasbommel HC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Uiteinde.
