In the 13thth minute of the game Toni Hendriks who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maasbommel HC's Peter van Schaik was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Toni Hendriks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Demy Wijk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kamperveen V.V.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Demy Wijk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peter van Schaik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kamperveen V.V.'s Christer Ålberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliver Zuurman in the 25th minute of play. Toni Hendriks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Peter van Schaik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christiaan van Steensel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter van Schaik having to interfere. In the 44th minute Christiaan van Steensel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter van Schaik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Maasbommel HC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kamperveen V.V. were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christiaan van Steensel to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Maasbommel HC's goal looked a bit too open when Christiaan van Steensel came free, but Peter van Schaik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Demy Wijk charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Demy Wijk the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Maasbommel HC booed when Kamperveen V.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Demy Wijk didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Roel Veentjer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maasbommel HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Roel Veentjer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christer Ålberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peter van Schaik made an important save on a dangerous shot by Toni Hendriks in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd match minute, Maasbommel HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gio van Amersfoort to maneuver through the defense. Peter van Schaik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christiaan van Steensel, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Kamperveen V.V.'s Christiaan van Steensel was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 75th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Kamperveen V.V.'s Christiaan van Steensel got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Christiaan van Steensel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 83 minutes, Peter van Schaik successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Peter van Schaik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christiaan van Steensel, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Toni Hendriks managed to get in a good position for a shot.
