Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Inter Traaie's Fabian Mols started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jacco Elshot scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ryan Cardinaal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabian Mols during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC Vlaardingen booed when Inter Traaie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Mols didn't get a good kick on the ball. Harry Windmuller recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 16 minutes into the match, FC Vlaardingen's goal looked a bit too open when Jacco Elshot came free, but Ryan Cardinaal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harry Windmuller might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Klaas van Zijderveld. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Harry Windmuller ran back to his position shaking his head. Dimitrie Lyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Klaas van Zijderveld tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Klaas van Zijderveld took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Windmuller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, FC Vlaardingen's goal looked a bit too open when Jacco Elshot came free, but Ryan Cardinaal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harry Windmuller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dimitrie Lyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Klaas van Zijderveld tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute of the match Robert Schepers sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Klaas van Zijderveld skillfully saved the ball. If Gilbert Sloothaak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Inter Traaie's Govert Geerts got a free kick in the 38th minute. After 40 minutes, Martijn Waard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Vlaardingen and the Inter Traaie players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ryan Cardinaal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Mols, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Martijn Waard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Klaas van Zijderveld made a huge save. If Martijn Waard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Martijn Waard came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the FC Vlaardingen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martijn Waard couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 51st minute, Dimitrie Lyle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 52 minutes into the match, David Kiewiet notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Inter Traaie's Klaas van Zijderveld. Klaas van Zijderveld was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 57 minutes, Arno Smeekes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Vlaardingen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arno Smeekes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Klaas van Zijderveld showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harry Windmuller in the 59th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Martijn Waard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute, Martijn Waard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Klaas van Zijderveld didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when FC Vlaardingen's Harry Windmuller shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Inter Traaie's Fabian Mols got his second yellow card of the match in the 69th minute. The referee ordered Fabian Mols off the ground. Fabian Mols hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. When FC Vlaardingen's Harry Windmuller in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Inter Traaie's goalie prevented a goal. After some careless play in the Inter Traaie defense, Harry Windmuller kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Klaas van Zijderveld. The Inter Traaie fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Klaas van Zijderveld should have stopped the shot. If Dimitrie Lyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Inter Traaie's goalkeeper Klaas van Zijderveld, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 4-1 became the score in the 87th minute when Harry Windmuller elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 95 minutes into the game, Arno Smeekes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Vlaardingen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inter Traaie the free kick. After 95 played minutes FC Vlaardingen got a freekick which was hit by Arno Smeekes. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Vlaardingen had played much better football throughout.
