Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Laurens van Rijswijk kicked off to start the match. Laurens van Rijswijk took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eric Maasland. Eric Maasland dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomas Roeles during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 6th minute, one of Weite RKSV:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Weite RKSV. In the 11thth minute of the game Bruno Bogaard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Weite RKSV's Eric Maasland was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vincent Kuypers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdi de Zaaijer having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Gerben Heesen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 24 minutes into the game, Arno van Steensel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bakelsebrug HC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Weite RKSV the free kick. Eric Maasland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laurens van Rijswijk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute, Maarten Zoetmulder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Bakelsebrug HC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Meindert Moorman hit a great ball. Bakelsebrug HC's Ferdi de Zaaijer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Bakelsebrug HC from getting a goal against them. When Meindert Moorman was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 39 minutes had been played. The supporters of Weite RKSV booed when Bakelsebrug HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Meindert Moorman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gerben Heesen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdi de Zaaijer having to interfere. Vincent Kuypers hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

52 minutes into the game, one of Weite RKSV:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ferdi de Zaaijer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vincent Kuypers, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Eric Maasland made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Bruno Bogaard sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ruben van Asten during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 73rd minute, Ruben van Asten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Vincent Kuypers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ferdi de Zaaijer was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. 78 minutes into the match, Bakelsebrug HC's goal looked a bit too open when Gerben Heesen came free, but Ferdi de Zaaijer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vincent Kuypers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd minute, Gilbert van Zeist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute Gerben Heesen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdi de Zaaijer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferdi de Zaaijer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerben Heesen in the 85th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Weite RKSV's Maarten Zoetmulder got a free kick in the 90th minute. Bakelsebrug HC's Bruno Bogaard got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Bruno Bogaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robbie Zenden's late challenge caught a Bakelsebrug HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robbie Zenden helped the player get up and apologised. After 96 played minutes Weite RKSV got a freekick which was hit by Robbie Zenden. If Bruno Bogaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Bakelsebrug HC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bakelsebrug HC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
