Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) vv akkrum's Fabian Dijkman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Reinhard Meulenbergh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gertjan Schattenberg in the 7th minute of play. Gertjan Schattenberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 13 played minutes vv akkrum got a freekick which was hit by Sven Maseland. After 18 minutes, Gregor Luirink mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zonderwijk and the vv akkrum players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gregor Luirink kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Fabian Dijkman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Joep Matthijs made a huge save. In the 27th minute Gertjan Schattenberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reinhard Meulenbergh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, vv akkrum's Sven Maseland got a free kick in the 28th minute. Jurgen Haken might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joep Matthijs. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jurgen Haken ran back to his position shaking his head. If Jurgen Haken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erwin Eylens during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Erwin Eylens hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Reinhard Meulenbergh came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Zonderwijk's Gregor Luirink. But to his dismay, Gregor Luirink quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Dries Douwes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The vv akkrum players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Zonderwijk were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gertjan Schattenberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zonderwijk's Joep Matthijs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erwin Eylens in the 52nd minute of play. 53 minutes into the game, Erwin Eylens cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Joep Matthijs was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Reinhard Meulenbergh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gertjan Schattenberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joep Matthijs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Dijkman in the 60th minute of the match. Dries Douwes got in the 62nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Reinhard Meulenbergh handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Gregor Luirink kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Reinhard Meulenbergh. That made the score 1-2 in the 63 minute of play. In the 67th minute, Sven Maseland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, vv akkrum's Reinhard Meulenbergh got control of the ball when Dries Douwes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gertjan Schattenberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reinhard Meulenbergh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gertjan Schattenberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. vv akkrum's Reinhard Meulenbergh proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save vv akkrum from getting a goal against them. In the 87th match minute, vv akkrum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven Maseland to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregor Luirink in the 89th minute of play forced vv akkrum's goalkeeper Reinhard Meulenbergh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 91 minutes of play, Zonderwijk's Hub Derksen made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reinhard Meulenbergh was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zonderwijk played a much better game than vv akkrum and deserved their victory. The vv akkrum players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
