Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tomas Kostermans got the match started through his kick off. Tomas Kostermans's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jim Hollander read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute, Michel Brouwer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 8 minutes into the match, Den Haag CL's Tomas Kostermans sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jim Hollander narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tomas Kostermans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 13 minutes, Ronald Spanjaard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Den Haag CL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronald Spanjaard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 14 played minutes vv DWOW got a freekick which was hit by Arne Wielens. vv DWOW's Jim Hollander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Kostermans in the 15th minute of play. With a little luck, vv DWOW's Jim Hollander got control of the ball when Ronald Spanjaard tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ronald Spanjaard who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Jim Hollander when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Henk Driel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Brouwer, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Co Vrede sped through Den Haag CL's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Henk Driel. 43 minutes into the game, Douwe Vliet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. vv DWOW's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Den Haag CL the free kick. After 43 played minutes vv DWOW got a freekick which was hit by Douwe Vliet. Henk Driel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michel Brouwer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Co Vrede made a kick off. In the 54th match minute, vv DWOW was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Bust to maneuver through the defense. Ronald Spanjaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 63rd match minute, vv DWOW was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Douwe Vliet to maneuver through the defense. Jordy Schaars took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jim Hollander. vv DWOW's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tomas Kostermans blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jim Hollander having to make a save. When Ronald Spanjaard came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Den Haag CL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronald Spanjaard couldn't finish the play. In the 72nd minute, Tomas Kostermans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomas Kostermans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jim Hollander having to interfere. Jim Hollander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Kostermans in the 78th minute of play. Ronald Spanjaard succeeded in the game's 79th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Jacobus de Groot hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Sebastiaan Gierman managed to get in a good position for a shot. vv DWOW's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastiaan Gierman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henk Driel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Michel Brouwer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Co Vrede fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henk Driel having to interfere. Ronald Spanjaard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Jim Hollander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
