Abraham Hartogh charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abraham Hartogh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Bakelsebrug's Abraham Hartogh got a free kick in the 9th minute. Herman de Ridder made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Pascall Ijkwezen sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Falco Hoogenkamp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kruisberg's supporters rose to their feet, but Falco Hoogenkamp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herman de Ridder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Abraham Hartogh kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Pascall Ijkwezen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Herman de Ridder made a huge save. In the 26th minute, Kruisberg's Falco Hoogenkamp ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Herman de Ridder. Herman de Ridder yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After having played for 29 minutes, Falco Hoogenkamp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kruisberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Falco Hoogenkamp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 32nd minute, Falco Hoogenkamp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th match minute, Bakelsebrug was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gio Wekenburg to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Kruisberg's Falco Hoogenkamp fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Bakelsebrug's Pieter Kimman got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Herman de Ridder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martijn Sanders, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pieter Kimman made a kick off. Pieter Kimman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59th minute Pascall Ijkwezen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herman de Ridder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pascall Ijkwezen struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Herman de Ridder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kruisberg. After a rather tough play, Bakelsebrug's Abraham Hartogh got a free kick in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Falco Hoogenkamp in the 82nd minute of play forced Bakelsebrug's goalkeeper Herman de Ridder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Falco Hoogenkamp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 89th minute, Ate Wittendorp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ronny Kloppenburg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bakelsebrug's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
