Jan-Peter de Visscher's late challenge caught a Westergeest FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. RIP MobylDick YA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Westergeest FC the free kick. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind RIP MobylDick YA's goalkeeper Maikel Joppets, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Benjamin Lensen might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maikel Joppets. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benjamin Lensen ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Jasper Rijaard made the kick off in the second half. Jan-Peter de Visscher was shown his second yellow card after 72 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.
