Ralph van der Stoel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens Akkerman in the 3rd minute of the match. Rafael Blank stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marco Medgyesi's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Thijs Wittendorp kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. If Elbert Barels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafael Blank showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gertjan Jonkman in the 17th minute of the match. Elbert Barels's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ralph van der Stoel firmly grabbed it by the left post. Gertjan Jonkman hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Wittenbrink's Ralph van der Stoel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Wittenbrink from getting a goal against them. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ammerzoden HC's goalkeeper Rafael Blank, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marco Medgyesi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafael Blank having to make a save. 31 minutes in the game, Jens Akkerman fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ralph van der Stoel having to interfere. After 35 minutes of play, Wittenbrink's Gertjan Jonkman made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rafael Blank was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marco Medgyesi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Medgyesi in the 40th minute of play forced Ammerzoden HC's goalkeeper Rafael Blank to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Ammerzoden HC's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Medgyesi came free, but Rafael Blank reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gertjan Jonkman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Blank having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marco Medgyesi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Wittenbrink's Marco Medgyesi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rafael Blank. Rafael Blank yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. The supporters of Wittenbrink booed when Ammerzoden HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johannes Carel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 62 minutes into the game, one of Ammerzoden HC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 67th minute Marco Medgyesi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Blank saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Maikel Perk fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wittenbrink's protests and gave Maikel Perk a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Wittenbrink fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 70th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Ammerzoden HC a penalty, 73 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Erben Schuurmans, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Wittenbrink's Ralph van der Stoel. 1-3. In the 76th play minute Gertjan Jonkman came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Rafael Blank. 1-4. Gertjan Jonkman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 83 played minutes Marco Medgyesi rounded Ammerzoden HC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-5. Gertjan Jonkman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Rafael Blank tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Martien Barendregt fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ammerzoden HC's protests and gave Martien Barendregt a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Wittenbrink booed when Ammerzoden HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martien Barendregt didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Medgyesi in the 95th minute of play forced Ammerzoden HC's goalkeeper Rafael Blank to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wittenbrink's Ralph van der Stoel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens Akkerman in the 96th minute of play. Ralph van der Stoel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johannes Carel in the 98th minute of the match. Ammerzoden HC's Rafael Blank proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 99th minute of the match, managed to save Ammerzoden HC from getting a goal against them. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Wittenbrink walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
