Cees Hoogstrate hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Elbert Barels could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Maikel Joppets made a huge save. If Jens Akkerman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elbert Barels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Wilfred Valk fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ammerzoden HC's protests and gave Wilfred Valk a yellow card for diving instead. Ammerzoden HC's Elbert Barels got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rafael Blank showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Stolte, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Martien Barendregt's late challenge caught a RIP MobylDick YA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martien Barendregt helped the player get up and apologised. If Elbert Barels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jens Akkerman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maikel Joppets having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jens Akkerman was the one to do the kick off. Ammerzoden HC's Johannes Carel suffered a concussion in the 56th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marinus Diggele during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marinus Diggele hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. The Ammerzoden HC fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when Ammerzoden HC's Elbert Barels looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rafael Blank made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emil Stolte in the 62nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Emil Stolte managed to get in a good position for a shot. RIP MobylDick YA's supporters rose to their feet, but Emil Stolte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Blank breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A very good chance. 74 minutes into the match, RIP MobylDick YA's goal looked a bit too open when Elbert Barels came free, but Maikel Joppets reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. RIP MobylDick YA's Maikel Joppets played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elbert Barels in the 75th minute of play. If Emil Stolte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Martien Barendregt came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Ammerzoden HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martien Barendregt couldn't finish the play. Maikel Joppets showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elbert Barels, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After a rather tough play, Ammerzoden HC's Jens Akkerman got a free kick in the 87th minute. Remond Woudenberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Blank having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ammerzoden HC's zone, Emil Stolte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Blank came out of the goal and Emil Stolte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emil Stolte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Rafael Blank tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Ammerzoden HC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
