Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Jens Blank made the kick off and thus started the match. Marick Daverveld charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marick Daverveld the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Doezum HC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Marick Daverveld hit a great ball. The supporters of Doezum HC booed when Promes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marnix Spannenburg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Geert Degeling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marnix Spannenburg in the 7th minute of play. Jens Blank kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Marnix Spannenburg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Robin de Nooijer kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Robin de Nooijer hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After 21 played minutes Promes got a freekick which was hit by Emile Houwing. In the 24th minute, Steve Wander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iwan Kruijs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Youri Kemper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 27 minutes, Carel Oevermans mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Doezum HC and the Promes players grew even worse after the yellow card. Carel Oevermans hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. The supporters of Promes booed when Doezum HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carel Oevermans didn't get a good kick on the ball. Geert Degeling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marnix Spannenburg, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Emile Houwing's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Geert Degeling skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Rolf Kiewiet kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marnix Spannenburg made a kick off. Iwan Kruijs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Youri Kemper having to interfere. When Iwan Kruijs came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Doezum HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iwan Kruijs couldn't finish the play. After having played for 60 minutes, Iwan Kruijs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Doezum HC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iwan Kruijs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Promes's Youri Kemper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens Blank in the 62nd minute of play. Lucien Smibum's late challenge caught a Doezum HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucien Smibum helped the player get up and apologised. Lucien Smibum kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 70th minute Marnix Spannenburg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geert Degeling saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geert Degeling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emile Houwing, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. With a little luck, Promes's Youri Kemper got control of the ball when Iwan Kruijs tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Doezum HC's Rolf Kiewiet got a free kick in the 81st minute. Iwan Kruijs took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Youri Kemper. Youri Kemper dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Marnix Spannenburg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens Blank in the 92nd minute of play forced Promes's goalkeeper Youri Kemper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute Doezum HC were awarded a corner. Wilco Planting went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Wilco Planting almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Promes's Youri Kemper did a great save. The Doezum HC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Doezum HC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
