Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Govert Theissen started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 5 minutes into the match, Ranum's goal looked a bit too open when Emile Houwing came free, but Godfried Schipper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emile Houwing blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Godfried Schipper having to make a save. In the 11th minute, Harald Peters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ranum's Godfried Schipper proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Ranum from getting a goal against them. 13 minutes into the match, Promes's goal looked a bit too open when Govert Theissen came free, but Youri Kemper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute of the match Ronny Geerds shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Youri Kemper showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 18th minute of the match, Emile Houwing got a very nice opportunity to score, but Godfried Schipper was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marnix Spannenburg in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Godfried Schipper prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Robin de Nooijer fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Promes's protests and gave Robin de Nooijer a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd minute, Robin de Nooijer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Promes were furious when Rudolf van Gessel was red carded, 26 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Promes! The referee gave Ranum a penalty, 28 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bob Bette, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Promes's Youri Kemper. 0-1. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Promes's goalkeeper Youri Kemper, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emile Houwing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Godfried Schipper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Steve Wander dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Godfried Schipper, 1-1. Alex Aukes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Youri Kemper having to make a save. Godfried Schipper made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emile Houwing in the 46th minute. If Robin de Nooijer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emile Houwing made a kick off. Erben Zeegelaar hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Ton Zuid took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Godfried Schipper. Ranum's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Emile Houwing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Godfried Schipper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emile Houwing, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Ranum's Govert Theissen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Youri Kemper narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Emile Houwing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 74 played minutes Promes got a freekick which was hit by Christijan Rogaars. 1-2 became the score in the 82nd minute when Alex Aukes elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Godfried Schipper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emile Houwing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robin de Nooijer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godfried Schipper having to interfere. Emile Houwing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Godfried Schipper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Harald Peters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Godfried Schipper came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Promes's Emile Houwing. But to his dismay, Emile Houwing quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Promes were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Ranum to leave the ground with a draw.
