The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Giovanni Zeegers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Giovanni Zeegers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vorenseinde's supporters rose to their feet, but Giovanni Zeegers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pierre Zuid breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Vorenseinde getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Jurre Heitinga hit a great ball. If Foeke Rueda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jean-Paul Wortelboer hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Roel Franssen's late challenge caught a Bleiswijk United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roel Franssen helped the player get up and apologised. Roel Franssen kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Foeke Rueda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Bleiswijk United's zone, Jurre Heitinga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pierre Zuid came out of the goal and Jurre Heitinga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pierre Zuid showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giovanni Zeegers in the 25th minute of the match. Pierre Zuid stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jurre Heitinga's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. After 30 minutes, Youri Stuifzand mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vorenseinde and the Bleiswijk United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Vorenseinde! After 35 minutes of play, Bleiswijk United's Pierre van der Schaaf made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jelmer Ijsselhof was left in no man's land by his defense there! 43 minutes into the match, Bleiswijk United's Foeke Rueda sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jelmer Ijsselhof narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Foeke Rueda came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Bleiswijk United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Foeke Rueda couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Vorenseinde's Jelmer Ijsselhof got control of the ball when Pierre van der Schaaf tried to sneak it across the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Bleiswijk United's Pierre Zuid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Paul Wortelboer in the 52nd minute of play. Foeke Rueda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jelmer Ijsselhof having to interfere. Ruud de Jager fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jelmer Ijsselhof having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Jean-Paul Wortelboer kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pierre Zuid. That made the score 3-1 in the 68 minute of play. Giovanni Zeegers struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Pierre Zuid didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vorenseinde. Foeke Rueda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jelmer Ijsselhof having to interfere. A collision led to Vorenseinde getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Youri Stuifzand hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Vorenseinde defense, Pierre van der Schaaf kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jelmer Ijsselhof. The Vorenseinde fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jelmer Ijsselhof should have stopped the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Vorenseinde players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bleiswijk United.
