Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dimitrie Zandberg got the match started through his kick off. After having played for 5 minutes, Lucien Teuben managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pijnakker's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucien Teuben was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patrick Mulders sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 8 minutes, Mark Wiersma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sauwerd SV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mark Wiersma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dimitrie Zandberg in the 11th minute of play forced Pijnakker's goalkeeper Ron Panter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13 played minutes Pijnakker got a freekick which was hit by Roderick van Gastel. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Lucien Teuben managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pijnakker's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucien Teuben was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herbert van Zaanen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Herbert van Zaanen was a little too slow when Lucien Teuben got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 1-0. The nice shot from Lucien Teuben in the 25thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Herbert van Zaanen had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Lucien Teuben sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Sauwerd SV's zone, Patrick Mulders stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herbert van Zaanen came out of the goal and Patrick Mulders tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patrick Mulders sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mark Wiersma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ron Panter having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Patrick Mulders made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Marick van Heiningen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Herbert van Zaanen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucien Teuben's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. After a rather tough play, Sauwerd SV's Pascall de Koning got a free kick in the 58th minute. Herbert van Zaanen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Mulders in the 59th minute of the match. Ron Panter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dimitrie Zandberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pascall de Koning during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Lucien Teuben had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd match minute, Sauwerd SV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Koekkoek to maneuver through the defense. Herbert van Zaanen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Mulders, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 76th minute, Patrick Mulders got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Sauwerd SV getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Marick van Heiningen hit a great ball. Lucien Teuben recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 91 minutes Sauwerd SV's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Teun Klaassen who took care of the corner kick. Marick van Heiningen thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Herbert van Zaanen, a very annoying self made goal in the 92nd minute which led to 2-0. Pijnakker's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
