Martien Remmelts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bennie Bosma, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bennie Bosma in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martien Remmelts prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wilfried Hommes charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilfried Hommes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Wilfried Hommes kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, Doorwerth's goal looked a bit too open when Marinus de Zaaijer came free, but Martien Remmelts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martien Remmelts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marinus de Zaaijer in the 18th minute of the match. Doorwerth's Martien Remmelts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bennie Bosma in the 23rd minute of play. Geale Buring fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martien Remmelts having to interfere. If Bennie Bosma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peter Mik made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nick Baalen in the 33rd minute. Daniël van Baarle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Peter Mik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to FC DYONISIANS getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Alfred Ritsma hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Marinus de Zaaijer made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Bennie Bosma managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC DYONISIANS's supporters rose to their feet, but Bennie Bosma was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martien Remmelts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 54th match minute, Doorwerth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathieu Appeldoorn to maneuver through the defense. Peter Mik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniël van Baarle in the 59th minute of play. Bennie Bosmas short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Martien Remmelts to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Bennie Bosma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st of the match, Marinus de Zaaijer tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Martien Remmelts got in the way and made a wonderful save. In the 88th minute Marinus de Zaaijer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martien Remmelts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC DYONISIANS's Marinus de Zaaijer was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 91st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Doorwerth's Martien Remmelts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marinus de Zaaijer in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC DYONISIANS had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
