Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Hengsel's Bram Ensing started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Twist SV's Mike Nelissen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Foeke Brinker in the 3rd minute of play. Matthijs Rodenberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Huub de Coninck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Twist SV getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Edward Hooiveld hit a great ball. Bram Ensing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Mike Nelissen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Twist SV's Mike Nelissen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Foeke Brinker in the 11th minute of play. Mike Nelissen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bram Ensing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bennie Boerma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Foeke Brinker in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mike Nelissen saved Twist SV from getting behind. 24 minutes into the game, Bjorn Rolink was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hengsel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Twist SV the free kick. A hard shot 25 in the game by Bennie Boerma from a close distance when the talented Huub de Coninck managed to make a qualified save. Hengsel's players were relieved. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Foeke Brinker during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th minute, Foeke Brinker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The nice shot from Bennie Boerma in the 29thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Huub de Coninck had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. In a very dangerous position, a player in Twist SV fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! Huub de Coninck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gio Reis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bjorn Rolink in the 42nd minute of play forced Twist SV's goalkeeper Mike Nelissen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Bennie Boerma's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Huub de Coninck was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. In the 47th minute Bram Ensing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Nelissen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Twist SV players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hengsel were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bennie Boerma to strike the kick off in the second half. Bennie Boerma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Matthijs Rodenberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Huub de Coninck having to interfere. Huub de Coninck stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bennie Boerma's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. When Hengsel's Bram Ensing in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Twist SV's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bennie Boerma in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Huub de Coninck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hengsel's Huub de Coninck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bennie Boerma in the 66th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Twist SV's Govert Stekelenburg got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 77th minute, Bennie Boerma got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Matthijs Rodenberg came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Twist SV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matthijs Rodenberg couldn't finish the play. In the 81st minute, Bram Ensing reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mike Nelissen. The goal made the score 0-2. Bennie Boerma struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Huub de Coninck didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Twist SV. Matthijs Rodenberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bram Ensing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hengsel were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Twist SV's much stronger midfield.
