Through an outstanding action, after 4 minutes, Mike Nelissen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 6 minutes into the match, Werthers Original SC's goal looked a bit too open when Matthijs Rodenberg came free, but Elco van Steensel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bennie Boerma in the 10th minute of play forced Werthers Original SC's goalkeeper Elco van Steensel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Twist SV defense, Erik van Dam kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mike Nelissen. The Twist SV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mike Nelissen should have stopped the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Mike Nelissen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 22ndth minute of the game Bennie Boerma who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Werthers Original SC's Elco van Steensel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Matthijs Rodenberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Twist SV's supporters rose to their feet, but Matthijs Rodenberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elco van Steensel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bennie Boerma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matthijs Rodenberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elco van Steensel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Matthijs Rodenberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Laurens Doll received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Mike Nelissen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Werthers Original SC's goal looked a bit too open when Bennie Boerma came free, but Elco van Steensel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Harm Anker to make the kick off. Mike Nelissen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurens Doll in the 51st minute of the match. 53 minutes into the match, Twist SV's goal looked a bit too open when Harm Anker came free, but Mike Nelissen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mike Nelissen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik van Dam, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Elco van Steensel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthijs Rodenberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elco van Steensel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bennie Boerma's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Elco van Steensel was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gio Reis. When Matthijs Rodenberg came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Twist SV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matthijs Rodenberg couldn't finish the play. Bennie Boerma in the 62ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Elco van Steensel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of Werthers Original SC booed when Twist SV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sjors Tanis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Twist SV fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Laurens Doll in the 79th minute of play forced Twist SV's goalkeeper Mike Nelissen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bennie Boerma got free with Elco van Steensel in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bennie Boerma in the 85thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Elco van Steensel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gio Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Elco van Steensel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bennie Boerma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elco van Steensel having to interfere. Mike Nelissen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurens Doll in the 93rd minute of the match. Werthers Original SC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Twist SV for a fine match.
