Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hans Bartels took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Hans Bartels came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the Kaumeshoek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hans Bartels couldn't finish the play. Nathan Saanen charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nathan Saanen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th minute, Nathan Saanen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeroen van der Sar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jeroen van der Sar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Hans Bartels came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Kaumeshoek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hans Bartels couldn't finish the play. Ferdi Zuiverloon made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Jeroen van der Sar sent off a good shot on target. Sjaak Oude Kamphuis kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Jeroen van der Sar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ferdi Zuiverloon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rdth minute of the game Hans Bartels who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S.C. SaMBaS's Ferdi Zuiverloon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 44 minutes of play S.C. SaMBaS's Nathan Saanen was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Nathan Saanen hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Weken stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daniel Weken struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Edgar Kersten didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.C. SaMBaS. After 55 minutes Kaumeshoek's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Huub Sijmonds who took care of the corner kick. In the 61st minute, Daniel Weken got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 65th minute, Jeroen van der Sar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ferdi Zuiverloon was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Ferdi Zuiverloon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Bartels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Kaumeshoek's zone, Hans Werner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar Kersten came out of the goal and Hans Werner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. S.C. SaMBaS's Daniel Weken got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Weken's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgar Kersten read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Carlo van den Hoogen charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlo van den Hoogen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Edgar Kersten made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Weken in the 81st minute. Hans Bartels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Ferdi Zuiverloon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ferdi Zuiverloon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hans Bartels in the 86th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hans Bartels in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ferdi Zuiverloon saved S.C. SaMBaS from getting behind. If Hans Bartels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Weken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Edgar Kersten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Kaumeshoek had played much better football throughout.
