In the 7th minute Stephan de Hoop shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hubert Waterreus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerard Jochemsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Youri Hebels in the 9th minute of play. In the 16th minute Youri Hebels shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerard Jochemsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emil Kromme hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Youri Hebels fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerard Jochemsen having to interfere. After some careless play in the Vlissingen defense, Peter Bogaard kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerard Jochemsen. The Vlissingen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerard Jochemsen should have stopped the shot. Gerard Jochemsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domenik van Rhijn, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Gerard Jochemsen came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Caszilla's Peter Bogaard. But to his dismay, Peter Bogaard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 33 played minutes FC Caszilla got a freekick which was hit by Nigel Degens. The long shot by Koen Spiering in the 34th minute really tested Hubert Waterreus's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 44 minutes into the match, FC Caszilla's Peter Bogaard sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gerard Jochemsen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, FC Caszilla's Hubert Waterreus got control of the ball when Stephan de Hoop tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Berend Buskermolen was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute of the match, Youri Hebels got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gerard Jochemsen was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. FC Caszilla's Jan Rein Verhoeven was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gerard Jochemsen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Peter Bogaard had several of the Vlissingen's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 59 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Gerard Jochemsen as he didn't even see the shot coming. Peter Bogaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerard Jochemsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Bogaard in the 70th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Peter Bogaard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gerard Jochemsen was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Peter Bogaard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerard Jochemsen having to interfere. Domenik van Rhijn's late challenge caught a Vlissingen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Domenik van Rhijn helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to FC Caszilla getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Domenik van Rhijn hit a great ball. Hubert Waterreus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stephan de Hoop in the 92nd minute of play. When the match was over FC Caszilla could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Vlissingen throughout the match.
