Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ronald Staarman took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Jos Westerhof came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Seagulls fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jos Westerhof couldn't finish the play. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Seagulls's goalkeeper Freek Klompe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Freek Klompe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Billy Buskermolen, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Seagulls's goal looked a bit too open when Ronald Staarman came free, but Freek Klompe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Freek Klompe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronald Staarman, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 24 minutes into the match, Etzenrade's Ronald Staarman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Freek Klompe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benjamin Kuys hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Erben Dost's shot from long distance in the 29th minute was not bad at all, but Etzenrade's Daniël Kramer knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Robin Hateboer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Freek Klompe. Seagulls's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Daniël Kramer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joost Wermans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute, Ronald Staarman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Seagulls's goal looked a bit too open when Ronald Staarman came free, but Freek Klompe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Etzenrade's Daniël Kramer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Etzenrade from getting a goal against them.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joost Wermans made a kick off. Ronald Staarman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 55th minute, Etzenrade's Ronald Staarman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. If Ronald Staarman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronald Staarman in the 62nd minute of play forced Seagulls's goalkeeper Freek Klompe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Freek Klompe managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Etzenrade's Billy Buskermolen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jos Westerhof received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Daniël Kramer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Billy Buskermolen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freek Klompe having to interfere. After 82 played minutes Seagulls got a freekick which was hit by Diderik Weerman. A collision led to Seagulls getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Ton Willemsen hit a great ball. Ronald Staarman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Seagulls supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Etzenrade's performance. The match ended with a win for Etzenrade.
