Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ronald Staarman started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Billy Buskermolen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ronald Staarman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jordy de Ridder having to interfere. 8 minutes into the match, Termaar VV's goalkeeper Jordy de Ridder had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Billy Buskermolen. When Ronald Staarman fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Etzenrade's protests and gave Ronald Staarman a yellow card for diving instead. Leon Boschker struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Daniël Kramer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Termaar VV. Ferdinant Oss blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daniël Kramer having to make a save. Leon Boschker struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Daniël Kramer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Termaar VV. Daniël Kramer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ferdinant Oss's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Ronald Staarman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Jordy de Ridder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniël Kramer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Boschker in the 40th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leon Boschker to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Termaar VV's Mark Piening got a free kick in the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Billy Buskermolen in the 62nd minute of play forced Termaar VV's goalkeeper Jordy de Ridder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniël Kramer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ferdinant Oss in the 65th minute. In the 66th minute of the match Rudi Meppelink shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daniël Kramer showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jordy de Ridder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronald Staarman in the 68th minute of the match. Billy Buskermolen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wilfried Moorlag received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Jordy de Ridder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leon Boschker in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniël Kramer saved Etzenrade from getting behind. After 75 played minutes Etzenrade got a freekick which was hit by Arnold Tonnis. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnold Tonnis during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 77 played minutes Etzenrade got a freekick which was hit by Arnold Tonnis. 78 minutes into the match, Leon Boschker dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Daniël Kramer, 0-1. After 81 minutes, Rudi Meppelink mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Termaar VV and the Etzenrade players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 81 played minutes Termaar VV got a freekick which was hit by Rudi Meppelink. Jordy de Ridder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Billy Buskermolen, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronald Staarman in the 85th minute of play forced Termaar VV's goalkeeper Jordy de Ridder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leon Boschker might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daniël Kramer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leon Boschker ran back to his position shaking his head. If Billy Buskermolen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 94 minutes, Japke Lange mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Termaar VV and the Etzenrade players grew even worse after the yellow card. Japke Lange hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The supporters of Etzenrade booed when Termaar VV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giovanni Jochemsen didn't get a good kick on the ball.
