Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Reek S.C.'s Foeke Spaan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Reek S.C. from getting a goal against them. 14 minutes into the game, Robin Hateboer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Etzenrade's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Reek S.C. the free kick. 20 minutes into the match, Carlo Haydon notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Etzenrade's Daniël Kramer. Daniël Kramer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 23 played minutes Etzenrade got a freekick which was hit by Arnold Tonnis. Carlo Haydon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniël Kramer having to interfere. Foeke Spaan made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Billy Buskermolen sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Reek S.C.'s Carlo Haydon got a free kick in the 31st minute. Daniël Kramer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theo van Zijp, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Carlo Haydon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Daniël Kramer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Reek S.C. booed when Etzenrade was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnold Tonnis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilfred Hammen kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Ronald Staarman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronald Staarman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Foeke Spaan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Reek S.C. were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Theo van Zijp made the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Reek S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Billy Buskermolen came free, but Foeke Spaan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Foeke Spaan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronald Staarman in the 60th minute of play. Carlo Haydon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Theo van Zijp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Billy Buskermolen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Foeke Spaan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 74 minutes, Jos de Vos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Reek S.C. and the Etzenrade players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 74 played minutes Reek S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Jos de Vos. Reek S.C.'s Foeke Spaan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Billy Buskermolen in the 76th minute of play. Ronald Staarman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Foeke Spaan having to interfere. Foeke Spaan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronald Staarman in the 81st minute of play. Foeke Spaan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronald Staarman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Carlo Haydon came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Reek S.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlo Haydon couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Reek S.C. eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
