Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the match, Driebruggen's goalkeeper Meindert van Steensel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Richard Blommaart. After a rather tough play, Schayk's Corné Zielman got a free kick in the 5th minute. Driebruggen's Meindert van Steensel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Driebruggen from getting a goal against them. 12 minutes into the game, Bart Oude Kamphuis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Driebruggen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Schayk the free kick. 13 minutes into the match, Schayk's Frans van Zomeren broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Tonnie Rutgers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tonnie Rutgers in the 21st minute of play forced Driebruggen's goalkeeper Meindert van Steensel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Driebruggen getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Edgar Bergen hit a great ball. During the 25th minute of the match Corné Zielman completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Corné Zielman a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 26 played minutes Schayk got a freekick which was hit by Corné Zielman. Richard Blommaart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Meindert van Steensel having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Kurt van der Meijde had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emiel de Zwart. Schayk's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kurt van der Meijde was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Meindert van Steensel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Richard Blommaart in the 44th minute. Richard Blommaart blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Meindert van Steensel having to make a save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arie Huizing stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Richard Blommaart got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Meindert van Steensel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roland Siebum, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arie Huizing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 68 in the game by Ivo Som from a close distance when the talented Emiel de Zwart managed to make a qualified save. Schayk's players were relieved. After having played for 74 minutes, Richard Blommaart managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Schayk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richard Blommaart was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arie Huizing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiel de Zwart having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Richard Buckinx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Richard Blommaart managed to get in a good position for a shot. Schayk's supporters rose to their feet, but Richard Blommaart was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Meindert van Steensel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Driebruggen's Arie Huizing in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Schayk's goalie prevented a goal. 89 minutes into the match, Schayk's goal looked a bit too open when Arie Huizing came free, but Emiel de Zwart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roland Siebum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute Arie Huizing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiel de Zwart saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Driebruggen's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
