Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gert Melis made the kick off which started today's match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gert Melis in the 5th minute of play forced Schayk's goalkeeper Emiel de Zwart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 8 minutes, Corné Zielman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Schayk and the Abcoven players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Schayk's Corné Zielman got a free kick in the 8th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnold Slot during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Coenraad Heebels made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tonnie Rutgers in the 11th minute of play. Richard Blommaart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Abcoven's Denny Kuis got a free kick in the 13th minute. Coenraad Heebels took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tonnie Rutgers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abcoven's Gert Melis got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 1-0 became the score in the 19th minute when Gert Melis elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 25 played minutes Schayk got a freekick which was hit by Corné Zielman. Coenraad Heebels showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Blommaart in the 30th minute of the match. Abcoven's Coenraad Heebels played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tonnie Rutgers in the 31st minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tonnie Rutgers to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Abcoven's zone, Richard Blommaart stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Coenraad Heebels came out of the goal and Richard Blommaart tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tonnie Rutgers succeeded in the game's 58th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. The supporters of Abcoven booed when Schayk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tonnie Rutgers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Harm Ijspol missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 63 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Emiel de Zwart right hand side. Tonnie Rutgers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 72 minutes into the match, Abcoven's Jurgen Tinselboer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emiel de Zwart narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frans van Zomeren got free with Coenraad Heebels in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Tonnie Rutgers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abcoven's Jurgen Tinselboer got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emiel de Zwart took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gert Melis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 81 minutes of play, Abcoven's Jurgen Tinselboer made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emiel de Zwart was left in no man's land by his defense there! Harm Ijspol's late challenge caught a Schayk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Harm Ijspol helped the player get up and apologised. Richard Blommaart who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Coenraad Heebels when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
