The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th match minute, Blarikum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin Hoogenkamp to maneuver through the defense. 7 minutes into the game, Scharendijke FC's David Meyer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Harm Baalen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Ramon Melis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timo Drok, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Scharendijke FC's Ramon Melis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lukas Schokkenbroek in the 16th minute of play. David Meyer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Harm Baalen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Timo Drok might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ramon Melis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Timo Drok ran back to his position shaking his head. If Timo Drok had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramon Melis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lukas Schokkenbroek in the 30th minute of the match. Kevin Hoogenkamp's late challenge caught a Scharendijke FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kevin Hoogenkamp helped the player get up and apologised. Kevin Hoogenkamp hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Harm Baalen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bram Iepstra, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Harm Baalen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bram Iepstra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robert Derksen during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 43rd minute, Robert Derksen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bram Iepstra made a kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Scharendijke FC's goalkeeper Ramon Melis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Timo Drok. If Timo Drok had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Lukas Schokkenbroek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ramon Melis was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. In the 65th minute, Bram Iepstra made a precise shot to the right of Harm Baalen. Blarikum's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Ate Zeeman kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Bram Iepstra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 83 played minutes Blarikum got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Hoogenkamp. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Meyer in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Harm Baalen saved Blarikum from getting behind. 86 minutes into the match, Blarikum's goal looked a bit too open when Bram Iepstra came free, but Harm Baalen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harm Baalen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bram Iepstra in the 87th minute of play. David Meyer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harm Baalen having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Blarikum's goal looked a bit too open when David Meyer came free, but Harm Baalen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Blarikum players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Scharendijke FC.
