Jasper Kaptein kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. 6 minutes into the game, Roy Ronde was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Andelst HC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oosterheide the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Andelst HC's zone, Niels Bruintjes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jasper Graaf came out of the goal and Niels Bruintjes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jasper Graaf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ton Bijlsma, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Niels Bruintjes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jasper Graaf having to interfere. Remco Opdam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edwin Scholte having to interfere. In the 29th match minute, Oosterheide was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elbert Ieberts to maneuver through the defense. Edwin Scholte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remco Opdam in the 32nd minute of play. In the 35th minute of the match Elbert Ieberts shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jasper Graaf showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Roy Ronde's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edwin Scholte was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Remco Opdam managed to get in a good position for a shot. Andelst HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Remco Opdam was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edwin Scholte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Kristof Kip fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oosterheide's protests and gave Kristof Kip a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Oosterheide getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Kristof Kip hit a great ball. Edwin Scholte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remco Opdam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Niels Bruintjes fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jasper Graaf, passed just outside the right post. Niels Bruintjes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jasper Graaf having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Remco Opdam was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Christiaan Popken managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oosterheide's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christiaan Popken was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christiaan Popken's late challenge caught a Andelst HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christiaan Popken helped the player get up and apologised. Roy Ronde kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 62ndth minute of the game Remco Opdam who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oosterheide's Edwin Scholte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Remco Opdam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niels Bruintjes in the 68th minute of play forced Andelst HC's goalkeeper Jasper Graaf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oosterheide's Kristof Kip got his second yellow card of the match in the 69th minute. The referee ordered Kristof Kip off the ground. Edwin Scholte didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 77th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. The supporters of Andelst HC booed when Oosterheide was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christiaan Popken didn't get a good kick on the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niels Bruintjes couldn't finish the play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
