After having played for 5 minutes, Izaak Neijsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leut RKSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Izaak Neijsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wouter van der Wiel in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ed Kik prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 17 played minutes Pesaken V.V. got a freekick which was hit by Frans Geurtsen. Izaak Neijsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Ed Kik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute of the match Bruno van den Berg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Philip Idema skillfully saved the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Pesaken V.V.'s Gerben Need sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Philip Idema narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 27 played minutes Leut RKSV got a freekick which was hit by Stephan Smits. If Gerben Need had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 29 in the game by Gerben Need from a close distance when the talented Philip Idema managed to make a qualified save. Leut RKSV's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerben Need in the 37th minute of play forced Leut RKSV's goalkeeper Philip Idema to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute Izaak Neijsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ed Kik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gerben Need had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ed Kik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Izaak Neijsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Toni van Persie in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Philip Idema saved Leut RKSV from getting behind. Toni van Persie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute, Japke Reintjes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ed Kik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Izaak Neijsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the match, Leut RKSV's Wouter van der Wiel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ed Kik narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Pesaken V.V.'s Dirk Bouma got a free kick in the 81st minute. With his leg Ed Kik managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Leut RKSV's Wouter van der Wiel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Pesaken V.V.'s Toni van Persie got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ed Kik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Izaak Neijsen in the 87th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Leut RKSV's zone, Gerben Need stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Philip Idema came out of the goal and Gerben Need tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd match minute, Leut RKSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bert Opdam to maneuver through the defense.
