Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frederik Salens in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thomas Dirks prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 17 minutes into the game, Remco de Cler recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marc Kromkamp. Remco de Cler showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. With a little luck, Bilderdam HC's Marc Kromkamp got control of the ball when Remco de Cler tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 21 played minutes Bilderdam HC got a freekick which was hit by Giel Stok. Remco de Cler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Marc Kromkamp made a huge save. After 23 played minutes Hubert Kleefstra rounded Bilderdam HC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dick Lyesen in the 27th minute of play forced Delson FC's goalkeeper Thomas Dirks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Delson FC. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frederik Salens made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hubert Kleefstra in the 51st minute of play forced Bilderdam HC's goalkeeper Marc Kromkamp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 53 played minutes Bilderdam HC got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Boezem. After having played for 56 minutes, Remco de Cler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Delson FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remco de Cler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hubert Kleefstra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marc Kromkamp having to interfere. Delson FC's Remco de Cler got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, Delson FC's goalkeeper Thomas Dirks had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dick Lyesen. Delson FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
