The audience was convinced that Marco Assendelft's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lukas Sundén was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. After 39 played minutes Hogeweg FC got a freekick which was hit by Arvid Melin. Marco Assendelft scored 0-4 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lukas Sundén, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Hans Bulder managed to get in a good position for a shot. De hijgende Hertjes's supporters rose to their feet, but Hans Bulder was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lukas Sundén breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lukas Sundén was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Ed Schmidt fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hogeweg FC's protests and gave Ed Schmidt a yellow card for diving instead. After 67 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hogeweg FC! The goalkeeper, Lukas Sundén, was totally fooled by De hijgende Hertjes's Frits Andriessen, who 69 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Marco Assendelft sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Marco Assendelft managed to get in a good position for a shot. De hijgende Hertjes's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Assendelft was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. With his leg Lukas Sundén managed to avoid a goal in the 97thth minute, when De hijgende Hertjes's Marco Assendelft fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The Hogeweg FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. De hijgende Hertjes were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
