Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mattia Griffiths started the match with the kick off. Oliver Fava's late challenge caught a Rabat Ajax's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oliver Fava helped the player get up and apologised. In the 3rd minute, Oliver Fava hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rabat Ajax's Dylan Cucciardi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicholas Biasini in the 5th minute of play. After having played for 8 minutes, Mattia Griffiths managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rabat Ajax's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mattia Griffiths was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Isaac Galea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dylan Cucciardi having to interfere. 10 minutes into the game, Brandon Sevasta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rabat Ajax's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tarġa Gap the free kick. In the 10th minute, Brandon Sevasta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 14 played minutes Rabat Ajax got a freekick which was hit by Jean Paul Tonna. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicholas Biasini in the 18th minute of play forced Rabat Ajax's goalkeeper Dylan Cucciardi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tony Frendo kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 20th minute of the match Isaac Chircop shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dylan Cucciardi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Rabat Ajax getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Owen Cassar Torreggiani hit a great ball. Roderick Trapani Galea Feriol stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mattia Griffiths's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. In the 28th minute James Titley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roderick Trapani Galea Feriol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 played minutes Tarġa Gap got a freekick which was hit by Martin Cassar. After a rather tough play, Rabat Ajax's Tony Frendo got a free kick in the 35th minute. Dylan Cucciardi made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Isaac Galea sent off a good shot on target. 42 minutes into the match, Rabat Ajax's goal looked a bit too open when Nicholas Biasini came free, but Dylan Cucciardi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tarġa Gap's Roderick Trapani Galea Feriol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattia Griffiths in the 44th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The wind increased when Nicholas Biasini made the kick off in the second half. If Ramon Portanier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nicholas Biasini struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Dylan Cucciardi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tarġa Gap. Nicholas Biasini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dylan Cucciardi having to interfere. In the 64th match minute, Tarġa Gap was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Fava to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Tarġa Gap's zone, James Titley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roderick Trapani Galea Feriol came out of the goal and James Titley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. James Titley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roderick Trapani Galea Feriol having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mattia Griffiths in the 77th minute of play forced Tarġa Gap's goalkeeper Roderick Trapani Galea Feriol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dylan Cucciardi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isaac Galea's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. In the 89th minute, Nicholas Biasini left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tarġa Gap fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tarġa Gap fans cheered their team off the field, for while Rabat Ajax had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
