Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Saviour Farrugia made the kick off which started today's match. A collision led to Gudja Athletics getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Stanley Vancell hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saviour Farrugia in the 9th minute of play forced Nadur Youngsters's goalkeeper Duminku Peel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brandon Ventura came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Nadur Youngsters's Tommy Rosso. But to his dismay, Tommy Rosso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Gudja Athletics's Brandon Ventura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Colin Brincau in the 17th minute of play. Saviour Farrugia didn't have the luck on his side when he, from a short distance, got a opportunity for a shot on goal in the 18th minute. The shot missed the goal on the right side and Saviour Farrugia ran dejectedly back to his position. Duminku Peel came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Gudja Athletics's Mike Guerriera. But to his dismay, Mike Guerriera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Brandon Ventura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Colin Brincau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Saviour Farrugia was extremely unlucky when he, in the 28th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a rather tough play, Nadur Youngsters's Fiobian Besseling got a free kick in the 30th minute. Tommy Rosso struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Brandon Ventura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nadur Youngsters. If Colin Brincau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Saviour Farrugia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duminku Peel having to interfere.

The wind increased when Tommy Rosso made the kick off in the second half. If Tommy Rosso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tommy Rosso in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brandon Ventura saved Gudja Athletics from getting behind. Duminku Peel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saviour Farrugia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mike Guerriera blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Duminku Peel having to make a save. Brandon Ventura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommy Rosso, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. If Tommy Rosso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, Silvio Friggieri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tony Spagnol was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 83rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Colin Brincau could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Brandon Ventura made a huge save. Colin Brincau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Gudja Athletics's zone, Tommy Rosso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brandon Ventura came out of the goal and Tommy Rosso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Gudja Athletics were victorious despite being under pressure from Nadur Youngsters for much of the match.
